About the project

PLAZMA — Plazma is a complex structure made up of many different actors. The many factors within it—plants, soil, water, air, colour and scent, the seasons, visual and sensory experiences, and visitors—come together to shape this complex system. In addition to offering people an opportunity to be alone with nature, the park and its surroundings enable them to take part in physical activities such as playing, skating and walking; cultural activities such as art and community events; and social activities such as meeting friends. They thus connect people with their natural and social surroundings. In place of existing impermeable surfaces and materials, Plazma consists of flowering plants, trees and topography that support biodiversity. This gives people opportunities for creative play: pine cones, branches, mud, stones and leaves become toys. Through its topography, Plazma opens up new possibilities for play areas while contributing to water management and the natural environment. Water channels wind around soil and sand play areas, allowing water play. Filtered water is collected in a storage tank to conserve water.
